What is a pantone code?
Pantone is the world reknowned authority on color. An international codification for colors. You can visit www.pantone.com for more information. If you use design software you can find the pantone codes that correspond to the exact color that you need.
What do you mean by engraving onto the candle?
Usually a lot of candle manufacturers offer customization by just putting a sticker that has been personalized on a mass produced candle shape. At Kandela design, the design is engraved onto the wax, it is completely part of the candle and then handpainted which makes your candle absolutely unique and gives the candle a very classy finishing. We will do a special mold for your candle, not an application of a design on an existing candle. Isn’t that unique?
What is a hollow candle?
It means the inside of the candle is empty and there is a t-light candle inside which once lighten up make the candle to hollow and enhance the design. The great advantage of the hollow candle is that is does not melt. You just have to change the t-light candle once finish. It’s a long lasting product that you can use over and over.
What is the quality of your products?
Our candles are made of top quality raw materials blended to ensure a clean burning and to meet international standards for export. Our wicks are fully cottoned wicks imported from Germany.

What is the price for a fully customized candle?
It all depend the size, shape and quantities you will require. We can also work according to your target price.

How do I get my order?
You order will be shipped by Air or Sea depending on your choice and will be delivered to the address you provided us.
How long does it take to produce my order?
It all depend on the item and the quantities that you need. It can range from 3 weeks to 2 months and we also adjust our production schedules according to your delivery date needed.
DESIGN AND SAMPLING:
Can you do the design layout for me?
Yes, we ask for a 40$ (€30) fee and our designer will take care of it following your guide lines. The instructions must be as precise as possible and two modifications are allowed. The fee can be paid through Paypal.
Can I have a sample first?
Yes, once your design is finalized and that the layout is confirmed we can proceed to the actual sample. Sampling fee is $50 (35€) and is REFUNDED UPON ORDER ON THE FINAL INVOICE. Sample sending are at your expense and billed on the final invoice. Samples are shipped through express courrier such as TNT or UPS.
How much is a sample?
The sampling fee is 50$ (€35) and is fully refunded upon order. You can pay it through Paypal and we will refund it the same way.
What does include the sampling fee?
It include all the process of engraving your design, preparing a master mold prototype with the layouts, molding the prototype, having the candle out and fully hand painted according to your request. You will receive a picture of the finished sample.
How long does it take to get a sample ready?
Once we are agreed on the layout it takes 5 to 10 working days.
What should be the canvas size of the designs that we have to send?
here is a chart for the canvas of your designs according to the product reference you choose:
KUBE 33: each panel that you put a design on should be 3x3cm
KUBE 55: each panel should be 5.5×5.5cm
KUBE 77: each panel should be 7.6×7.6cm
PILLAR 810: the design should be layed out on a 23.9cm width x 10.16cm height.
PILLAR 815. The design should lay out size should be 23.9x15cm
WAX LANTERN 815: lay out size is 31.9x15cm
WAX LANTERN 86: lay out size should be 8x6cm
What type of file do you need?
The most useful for us is vector file. Your design should be under Adobe Illustrator extension with a resolution of 180dpi minimum. Refer to the canvas chart for the size of the design.
You can send us a jpeg or PDF file also, however we will have to work again on it to make it usable for the engraving process and so we will ask you for the designing fee.
ORDERING AND SHIPPING
How do I place an order?
As soon as the design layout is finalized and that we are agreed on the final quotation you can confirm your order by email by sending us an official purchase order. We will email you back the final invoice with our banking details and you can proceed with the payment. Once the payment is received we will start producing your order and notify you once it is ready to be shipped.
Does the price include shipping?
No, shipping cost depend on the quantities and the destination so we can not include it in the price.
How do I pay for my order?
Payment can be made through telegraphic transfer, Western Union and Paypal.
How much is the delivery?
It all depends the quantity that you order. When you send us a quotation request (order section of the website) we will inquire to our freight forwarders the cost of your shipment according to the address you will provide us and send you the final quotation.
How long is the shipping time?
Air freight takes 3 to 5 days, sea freight takes 7 to 45 days depending on the destination.
